It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CHAPTER10Embedding Custom Logic Using Java and Spring Component
The SOA Suite is a platform on which Service Bus projects and SOA composites can be deployed to run and process requests. This platform provides many out of the box components that are configured through declarative programs into processing XML, calling out to services, performing logic, and so on. Occasionally, these components and the declarative approach fall just short of what we need for a specific service implementation. In those cases, we can make use of custom Java components to complement the out of the box capabilities.
