So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 5. Conclusion
As I close out this tour of my approach to grid-based design for the Web, I thought it appropriate to note the trajectory of Web design over its short history.
The typographic grid that informed countless posters, books, magazines, and other highly expressive forms of design authorship is still something of a novelty in digital media. With time, as tools and technologies change and as more design writers and thinkers interpret the fundamentals of the grid for new technological frontiers, grids may become more pervasive and more integral to the presentation of digital content and features.
