Particles—small discrete elements of matter—are all around us and are important as natural phenomena (mist, rain, snow, sand, etc.) and as products (food, building materials, pharmaceuticals, etc.). The study of Particle Technology has become an essential part of the education of many kinds of engineers and scientists.
