I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

SNMP is a very popular protocol for network monitoring. Pretty much every single network device supports it, and in some way or another, has it enabled by default. This is where we, the penetration testers, come in. SNMP can provide great information for an organization about their infrastructure and the device it's running on. But, if set up incorrectly or using default information, it can provide other non-employees that same information. This information can be used to further understand and attack the network, so you definitely want to limit who can do what and see what.
