The last part of the core migration from Perl to Python is to understand how to import modules that we need to use and how to re-use and distribute your own code and libraries. Also related to this stage is the creation of classes, generally placed into modules in their own right, and how this relates to the Python object orientation system that pervades all parts of the language.
Both Perl and Python allow you to easily reuse your existing code base in new applications through the use of modules – Python is somewhat easier to use in this respect than Perl. The basic mechanics of putting your favorite routines into a module and loading that module on demand remain the same however.
