Pervasive Mobile Transactions

Pervasive computing is a user-centric distributed computing paradigm that allows users to transparently access their preferred services even while moving around. Furthermore, many pervasive applications (e.g., a fund transfer between two different banking systems) must be executed reliably. Pervasive transaction processing can be used to guarantee such transparent and reliable services for users.

In this chapter, Section 6.1 introduces the concept of pervasive transactions. Section 6.2 presents a pervasive transaction processing framework, followed by a context-aware pervasive transaction model in Section 6.3.
