
Other Types of Backgrounds
If you don’t want a picture in the background, you can choose a solid
color, gradient, or pattern. This would make for a simpler print and is
quite easy to do.
To create a new layer background that is a solid color, pattern, or
gradient:
1. Open the first saved file that contains only the focus image (in my
case, Zebra Head.psd). You want to open a file that does not have a
background, like the one shown in Figure 12-4.
2. For a solid background, choose Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid
Color and click OK in the New Layer dialog box. (You could also
choose Gradient or Pattern, but for now, just choose a solid color.)
