This addition seems very straightforward. Currently, PHP evaluates this code with no problem:

var_dump([] % [311]);

// int(0)

PHP 8 will throw a type error whenever an arithmetic or bitwise operator is applied to an array, resource, or (nonoverloaded) object. The new behavior for all the arithmetic or bitwise operators (+, -, *, /, **, %, <<, >>, &, |, ^, ~, ++, --) when being applied in such a way will result in a TypeError thrown. The ...
