I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installation on Mac OS X
The Macintosh was always a user-friendly computer, frequently used by Web developers for graphic design and HTML coding. Now, thanks to OS X, the Macintosh is a programmer’s computer as well.
OS X, in version 10.2 (aka Jaguar) at the time of this writing, has a Unix base with a glorious Macintosh interface. The Unix aspect of the operating system—predicated upon Free BSD—allows the use of standard Unix tools, such as PHP, MySQL, and Apache, with remarkable ease. In fact, Jaguar comes with Apache and PHP already installed (but the latter is not enabled by default).
