Chapter 6. Blogging

Hacks 37–43

It’s all about reaching out to people of a like

mind about things they care about.

—Adam Ritenour

Podcasts start with a blog. The blog will have some entries for the podcasts as well as entries with just text or pictures. You can start a blog in two ways. The first is to use a blog service, and the second is to install blog software on your ISP. Blog services [Hack #38] are the easiest route. With these services, you concentrate on the content, and they do all the infrastructure work. If ultimate control is your thing, or if you already have one or more web sites set up, I recommend the second option of installing your own blog software.
