It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Two-Column, Audiovisual, Split-Page Format
Although the screenplay format discussed in Appendix 1 is used widely for much film, video, and television writing, it is useful to know the two-column, or audiovisual (AV), format as well. This format is used for multiple-camera productions, as well as for advertisements and corporate and instructional videos.
