WHY IS THIS CHAPTER WORTH READING?
In this chapter, you will learn how to apply risk analysis. You will also learn why risk analysis is necessary and how to optimise project cost by applying more test design techniques in parallel, instead of using one costly combinatorial method. We also define a measure for cost-effective testing.
Risk elicitation is the starting point of test design. The output of risk analysis is the input of test design. We select test design techniques based on risks and complexity.
