WHY IS THIS CHAPTER WORTH READING?

In this chapter, you will learn how to apply decision table testing and cause–effect graph testing by applying non-trivial examples. You will also learn when to use, and when not to use, these methods. We also show how these methods and EP and BVA can be used in combination.

A business rule is a rule that describes certain aspects of the business and either it is fulfilled or it is not. Business rules are intended to assert business structure or to control or influence the behaviour of the business.

In this chapter, we introduce two basic business rule-based testing strategies, decision table-based and cause–effect graph-based.
