Chapter 9. Titanium Mobile

This chapter will discuss how to build native applications for the iPhone and Android using Appcelerator's Titanium Mobile platform. Titanium is a commercially supported, open source platform for developing native cross-platform applications using web technologies. Source code is released under the Apache 2 license. Appcelerator, Inc. (, a startup in Mountain View, CA., introduced the platform in December 2008. Appcelerator has announced and will soon be releasing a version of Titanium Mobile that also works for the BlackBerry.
