Only a few minutes are required to learn the basics of Excel charting, but many frustrating hours are required to get a chart looking just right. Most people create charts using one of the built-in chart types, but are unable to modify them to meet their exact requirements. This chapter introduces and explains the fundamental techniques we can use to impose our will on the Excel charting engine to produce charts that look exactly how we want them to.
