Blurring is an advanced technique used in a lot of manga to indicate speed and motion. It’s not something you can accomplish with one click, though. Blurring in Manga Studio is a bit more involved than that. Here’s a bit about how blurring works, and then here’s how to pull it off in Manga Studio.
ALTERNATIVE TO SPEED LINES
There are several cases where speed lines won’t do the job for showing motion. You really need to show an object is moving fast, and speed lines aren’t making it seem fast enough. You could try drawing the speed lines over the object, but this tends to obscure it and clutter the panel.
