Modifying an existing report with Report Designer or Word

The basic process we must follow to modify an existing report is the same whether the report is one of the standard reports that comes with NAV 2017 or a custom report that we are enhancing in some way. An important discipline to follow in all cases where we are modifying a report that has been in production is NOT to work on the original, but on a copy. In fact, if this is a standard report we are customizing, we should leave the original copy alone and do all our work on a copy.
