Developing web monitoring applications with STOMP

In this recipe we will show you how to connect a web application directly to RabbitMQ using the Web-Stomp plugin. We will build the same application that we have seen in the Developing web monitoring applications with Spring recipe with the aim of having the same result with different technologies.

STOMP is Simple (or Streaming) Text Orientated Messaging Protocol (http://stomp.github.io/), which is another messaging wire protocol, alternative to AMQP and less powerful but with lighter clients.
