Conclusion
After two volumes and eight chapters, this book dedicated to voice recording is coming to an end. However, I am sure to have forgotten to mention some elements that you might find necessary and whose place would have been justified here. To keep it simple and honest, I have presented what I have mastered and what my experience has taught me over the years in my daily work. My vision of vocal recording is far from being universal, it does inevitably have, and I am aware, many gaps, but it has allowed me to carry out many projects.
Technology progresses every day and the digital universe has invaded all the studios of the planet allowing many enthusiasts, even with a modest budget, to realize their dream of owning their own home studio.
I am old school and even though my studio integrates many digital tools, I remain attached to my analog machines with which I still spend wonderful moments.
The objective of this book was to make the reader discover a part of my universe while sharing my modest knowledge. I hope that through these few pages I have given you an overview of voice recording and mixing as well as more concrete notions about the different hardware and software.
During the nine months that I have been writing this book, new hardware and software have appeared while others have disappeared. New versions, updates and patches have undoubtedly been made. We have to face it; it is not always possible to anticipate this evolution.
