Qualitative Research

The research methodologies can be divided into two major paradigms: logical positivism and phenomenological inquiry. Logical positivism dominates educational research and is based on the assumptions of the natural sc]iences. This is the paradigm elaborated upon in the description of the scientific method and hypothesis testing. There has been much confusion over just what qualitative research is.
