So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The focus for safety efforts is usually, and traditionally, the unwanted outcomes, injuries, and losses that are the result of adverse events. This matches the common understanding of safety as ‘freedom from unacceptable risk.’ Resilience Engineering, however, defines safety as the ability to succeed under varying conditions.
