I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 9. RF/IF Circuits
This chapter provides that rare summary of many of the “other” parts in the RF/IF signal chain, including mixers, modulators, multipliers, log amps, power detectors, variable gain amplifiers, direct digital synthesizers, and phase-locked loops. It is a good chapter for understanding what happens to the output of the RF front end and how RF performance relates to the overall performance of a receiver. As integration increases, the importance of these parts to the RF front-end designer may grow even more.—Janine Sullivan Love
