Following our system- and architecture-level studies in previous chapters, we move farther down to the circuit level in this and subsequent chapters. Beginning with the receive path, we describe the design of low-noise amplifiers. While our focus is on CMOS implementations, most of the concepts can be applied to other technologies as well.
