I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
2 The Conceptual Heritage of Strategic Culture and Collective Mentality
This chapter gives a survey of two hugely important conceptual aids to understanding an adversary, but also our allies, and ourselves: “strategic culture” and “collective mentality.” This discussion needs to be prefaced with a methodological point. Neither of these concepts pretends to be an “independent variable.” Much to the contrary, both are highly dependent on many, many other variables, which themselves are in part interdependent.
