Introduction
Research of Israeli strategic culture uses cultural lenses to study the unique Israeli style of strategy and way of war. It thus manifests the spirit of Hofstede’s work on the influence of national cultures over behaviors and institutions,1 as well as the “cultural turn” in social sciences2 and strategic studies.3 However, while strategic culture is still a debated concept,4 most literature about the Israeli strategic culture does not participate in the theoretical scholarly discussion but applies different interpretations of the concept to specific cases.
