The error messages produced by the sendmail program are in alphabetical order. Each message is preceded by the section or sections of the book in which the error is covered.

PSBUFSIZ	Address too long
UnsafeGroupWrites	Address address is unsafe for mailing to programs or files
EX_TEMPFAIL	alias database unavailable
Section 12.1.2	aliasing/forwarding loop broken
Section 12.1.3	cannot alias non-local names
Section 12.2.2	cannot open: reason
EX_TEMPFAIL	cannot open SMTP client channel, fd=file descriptor
EX_SOFTWARE	cannot parse double bounce address
EX_SOFTWARE	Cannot parse Postmaster!
EX_UNAVAILABLE	child died on signal decimal representation of the signal value
Section 12.4.1	can't even parse postmaster!
Section 9.3.7	config error: mail loops back to me (MX problem?)
