We've now seen the ways to manage assets (both IT and non-IT) via CMDB as CIs in ServiceDesk Plus, and now we are also aware of different methods and features for populating the CIs. We also now understand the concept of DML and how to manage its aspects as Software Assets. Finally, we delved into the capabilities of ServiceDesk Plus in managing purchase orders, inventories, and contracts. All of these together constitute IT Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM).
Now that we can rely on an effective CMDB, it's a good time to start understanding how to manage changes in these CIs and how to put a control process in place effectively..
