When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Where Did They Go?
If you are familiar with Mac OS 9, you may be wondering what happened to a few system utilities, such as Control Panels, Control Strip, Chooser, and the System Folder. Instead of Control Panels, Mac OS X consolidates all of you computer settings into System Preferences. Instead of the Control Strip, Mac OS X uses menu status icons on the right side of the menu bar, which you can turn on and off using preference icons in System Preferences. Chooser settings are available in the Print & Fax pane in System Preferences and the Printer Setup Utility is in the Utilities folder. The System Folder goes by the name System and you can no longer change the contents of the folder. The customizable parts of the System Folder are now available ...
