You can use Disk Utility to quickly create a CD from data on your computer or make a copy of a CD that contains information. Before you can create a CD, you need to create a disk image (.dmg) of the contents. Once you create a disk image, you can make multiple CDs from the same disk image. If you select the Leave Disc Appendable option during the process, you can create a multisession CD; you burn data on a CD-R now, and then add to it later until there is no more room, just like a CD-RW. You can use the CD to transfer files from one computer to another, backup data for safekeeping, or restore the files on a disk.
