It's actually pretty easy to set up your computer to receive faxes automatically. All you need is a phone line, and Panther's Fax utility (
). You can set up the Fax to answer after a certain number of rings, and you don't have to be logged in; however, your Macintosh needs to be on and not in sleep mode. Although your Macintosh can be set up to receive faxes, it does not generate a record of what you've received (or sent for that matter), like most fax applications.
