Now business clients wanted services that met their own specific needs. Power had moved to the consumer. Network services like those of BT were partial, while the client sought ‘end-to-end’ services through a single agreement. There was thus a need for integrators to bring together data center, desktop, network, and other services, which required that different suppliers collaborate.”
