When creating a quilt, use the Straight Stitch/Patch Quilting Foot. Insert the quilting bar into the hole in the presser foot holder. The Quilting Bar is adjustable and can be used as a guide to make evenly spaced lines of stitching. Use stitch number 1 for a basic straight stitch and stitch number 8 for a hand-quilted look.
When sewing fabric patches together, use stitch numbers 19 and 20 and the General-Purpose Foot to create the patch work effect in three steps:
