06 FINISHING TOUCHES
If you’re sewing a garment, you may need the 9960’s capabilities for final touches, such as inserting a zipper, attaching buttons and making buttonholes, creating eyelets, and hemming your garment.
ZIPPER
There are many ways to insert a zipper. For a basic, centered zipper, use the Zipper Foot and straight stitch number 1 in the center position.
1. With the garment wrong side up, place the zipper face down, centering the teeth in the seam and matching up each side of the zipper with the seam allowances. Align the top of the zipper with the raw edge of the garment. Pin or stick in place.
