Making predictions can be hazardous at the best of times. Trying to peer into the future of independent consulting is not easy. For most of us who have been around for years, we have seen the whole business change more than once. So the easy way out is to fall back on what I said earlier in the book: you have to accept that change takes place all the time and you have to adapt your business proposition to that.
