Chapter 10Cancellation
Many forms of philosophy emphasize the ultimate balance in the universe. The ancient Eastern concept of Yin and Yang illustrates the balance between the light side and the dark side. Modern Western philosophy does the same with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. This chapter explores the dark side of speaker summation: cancellation. This dark force can be used to actively steer sound away from some selected areas.
