In this appendix, you learned how to debug using Xcode, which arguably has all the bells and whistles one would expect from a modern IDE.
On the basic level, Xcode supports common breakpoint-oriented debugging, in which you can stop and watch the app’s flow in stop-motion, as well as see the state of the variables.
On the more advanced level, you have the option to set conditional and symbolic breakpoints, as well as using Profiling Instruments to monitor the app’s behavior with a high level of granularity.
Naturally, you can always go back to basics and simply print out values to track the app’s behavior. For that purpose, you have multiple commands—like print, debugPrint, and dump—in your toolbox.
