Use the Camera App

The Camera app in iOS and iPadOS is the gateway to the Photos library. I’d bet good money that the vast majority of items in iCloud Photos come from photos and videos taken with the Camera app on iPhones and, to a lesser extent, iPads. With each successive release of its operating systems, Apple tightens the integration between the camera app and the Photos library. So it’s worth taking a spin through the Camera interface (Figure 91) to point out how your settings can impact what’s saved to your photo library.
