Creating a Capable Board
Managing for talent, strategy, and risk starts with managing the talent of the board. Just as for the managerial ranks, a board needs the right human capital to meet its goals for creating long-term value. It must have the right composition to manage talent, strategy, and risk. It must have the right leadership to achieve consensus on its plans. And it must have systems in place to change and refresh its membership as the needs of the company evolve.
