I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 37. Debunking the TV Analyst
This is where the analyst is separated from the analysis. The technician appearing on a television news show to discuss the market is most likely an experienced practitioner of technical analysis. This is probably someone who has a good track record picking stocks or trading commodities, has written a book or two, and looks forward to a nice bonus from the firm at the end of the year. The bottom line is that the analyst on TV is probably good at the job.
