Instruction sets

Abstract

This chapter presents basic use of simple instructions. Our focus in this chapter will be the understanding of the most basic 33 instructions used on PICmicro 8-bit microcontrollers. These instructions are presented, ordered by function, in this chapter. Appendix A leads with a comprehensive table comparing the available instructions for each processor family; 10Fxxx, 12Fxxx, 16Fxxx, and 18Fxxx. Detail on the entire 8-bit universal 33-instruction set is shown in alphabetical order and by functional group, within the 10F data sheet in Appendix E.
