We’re at a difficult time in our history. We’ve become oblivious to the needs of others because we fail to listen. People everywhere feel helpless, ignored, and unimportant to the people they work with. This, in some ways, was heightened by the move to more remote work, but it has been its own epidemic for some time. I feel called to focus on listening at work in my consulting company because I think it is the single most important thing we can do to create more hope, a deeper sense of importance and belonging, and a desire to stay invested for the long haul.
