You’ve learned a lot of basics for interacting with the BeagleBone Black, and in Chapter 9, “Interacting with Your World, Part 1: Sensors,” you learned how to capture data from the world around you. That may be the most interesting use of computers like the BeagleBone Black—capturing and interacting with the world around you. Making that information accessible is a next positive step in that direction. In this chapter, you will build a project to monitor some conditions in the environment around your board and publish that data to make it more accessible. You will even start plotting the data!
