Parliament has enacted election laws. |
Articles 324 to 329 of Part XV of the Constitution are related to the electoral system in India. |

The Constitution authorizes Parliament to make laws with respect to all matters relating to elections to the Parliament and the Legislature of a State. |

Accordingly, the Parliament has made laws relating to elections to the Parliament and the Legislature of a State, namely, Representation of the People Act 1950 (RPA Act 1950), Representation of the People Act 1951 (RPA Act 1951) and Delimitation Commission Act 1952. |
