Chapter 5. Surviving Your First Night
IN CREATIVE MODE, there isn’t a lot to learn other than how to place and remove blocks. There are no mobs. You have access to every item in the game, so there’s no need to learn how to find or craft anything. You can fly and you cannot die, so you can build at any height. In short, you have complete freedom to do whatever you’d like, and there is no risk to experimenting.
Playing on Survival mode is a completely different matter, as its name attests. Even when playing on Survival mode’s Peaceful setting with no monsters, you can still die from falls, drowning, lava, or even suffocation.
