What to Say: Words
In the past chapters, we’ve given you many examples of phrases that accurately assess performance. This list is by no means exhaustive. Following our model, you can create your own phrases for particular functions specific to your company, department, or individual job. In Part 3, we give you lists of verbs, adverbs, and adjectives you can use to formulate your own phrases. Each phrase should have a minimum of two parts: it should contain the item you want to assess (i.e., computer skills) and also a verb, adverb, or adjective that describes how the function was performed. You can also use the words in the following chapters to modify a phrase in the preceding chapters so it more accurately describes your employee’s performance. ...
