About the Authors

COL Robert A. Powell, PhD, was Academy Professor and Deputy Department Head of the Department of Systems Engineering at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He received a PhD in systems engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, an MS in operations research from George Mason University, and a BS in industrial engineering from Texas A&M. He was a member of the Military Operations Research Society, the American Society of Engineering Education, and the International Council on Systems Engineering. Sadly, COL Powell passed away shortly before this book was published.
