Glossary of Virtual Classroom Terms

Term	Definition
Bandwidth	Refers to the amount of data that can be transmitted from one point to another point over a computer network.
Blended Learning	Combining in-person training with technology-based training, such as self-paced e-learning or virtual classroom training.
Breakout Rooms	Private meeting subrooms that the facilitator creates for small group work. Participants can have small group discussions and collaborate on the whiteboard or chat.
Chat	A feature that allows participants and facilitators to send text messages in real time to chat publicly or privately with others in the classroom.
