This book is primarily about HTML5 for web designers, and what HTML5 delivers for us is, well, mixed.
But it’s not fair for that impression to characterize the entire HTML5 spec. Many of the features now in HTML5 began life in the Web Applications 1.0 spec (www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/2005-09-01/), and it shows. HTML5 wasn’t really written for designers.
