Creating a simple vehicle is doubtlessly one of the best projects for those new to the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT 2.0 set. Besides being easy to build, vehicles have excellent mobility and remarkable versatility. For these reasons, you’ll begin the projects in this book by building and programming a vehicle: Inventor-Bot.
Inventor-Bot (Figure 11-1) drives on two treads, each controlled by its own motor. By running the motors at different speeds or in opposite directions, the robot can drive in any direction. In fact, you’ll program the robot to perform basic actions such as driving, steering, and making sounds.
