There is no shortage of awesome places to find more information on everything you need to know to make games. Armed with the list of resources in this appendix, you should have no trouble hunting down ways to improve your approach beyond what is covered in this book.

Game Engines

Some game engines are more standard than others. Some have a better community, or more features. They are all awesome though, and depending on what kind of game you build, any number of them could apply. At their core, they are just JavaScript, so if a good chunk of your game doesn’t use an engine’s features (as with the raycasting in FPS), you can use what you want of the engine and build the rest from scratch.
